Our snow is proper snow, the powdery type and is settling. Our Monday snow was wet, nasty lumps of horribleness. So it may change for you soon,

Apparently the fact it is snowing here at 60asl is a VERY good thing for the region.

In Bridgwater. It is settling, the ground is almost covered but it's not that heavy. Will take a pic.

Looks like shower activity is packing into west somerset at moment so probably another hour for bristol area and east somerset.

its 0.6C here with a DP of bang on zero so talk about knife edge. Its coming down a bit more but still only about 0.5cm

Stopped here now. This is the scenario that I hate. There is a thin layer of snow over all the roads and pavements, which will turn icy and in turn cause massive disruption. If it's going to snow then dump at least 3 cm down rather than turn the whole area into an ice skating rink.

may snow again dont know what the radar looks like, we werent predicted much anyway just glad its fallen

The road here is already bad, some cars went up this morning, compacted the snow even more and then it froze. My morning run was not fun, especially hungover...

Interestingly, the snow is blowing in from the east still...

The road here is already bad, some cars went up this morning, compacted the snow even more and then it froze. My morning run was not fun, especially hungover...

Interestingly, the snow is blowing in from the east still...

Longer you can hold on to the white stuff the more hope we have further east

-1.0c now and DP of -5.1c here and cloudy. Not really seen any snow showers yet as they keep fizzling out on radar as they head east

Im pretty sure you will get some snow, it was snowing in exeter a bit earlier, and apparently parts of Plymouth.

Was there a big temp drop as the snow arrived? Feels slightly warm on the isle of wight ATM . After a -7 night.
