My Hubby has to drive from Sheffield to Leeds tomorrow, what time would be advisable to leave to avoid any adverse weather / driving conditions. He works for the NHS so putting off the journey is a nono

He should be fine if he does it before lunch.

3pm onwards seems to be when things get interesting.

Just looking at the UKMO MESO and what a complex scenario as the front gets pulled back W. Yorkshire and Midlands look like taking the brunt

That's nonsense - Halifax and moreover, hillier areas of Huddersfield receive more snow than anywhere else in West Yorkshire. Try living in Leeds!!

Edit - Beat me to it Aaron!

Look north forecast looks good for most of our region tomorrow evening/night. It would be great to get a good top up of snow before the weekend. Fingers crossed.

Looks like East Yorkshire and N Lincolnshire is the area to be, blimey, I don't often get the chance to say that haha!

Only thing to sort out now is how heavy the precipitation will be, I still feel it could be borderline marginal though, but we could for once be just on the right side of marginal.

If it's any help the forecasters in the Met Office here told the day crew that we could expect as much as we had last Saturday night. Which will be nice!

Gosh Lewis, nearly 4,000 posts! How do you do it man? I am just getting towards 500 after nearly five years.....

I am surprised how cold it has stayed this week and this is making me hopeful for more snow, My mother used to always say if the snow hangs on you will get more. If it all melts real quick, then you won't. It has not melted at all on my road (in the shade) and is still over 8cm deep where undisturbed. This is a good sign I feel

Wonder when the event will kick off tomorrow....?

lol jks I have no idea.

NAE/NMM disagree on the track of the PPN.

Neither of them look particularly great for central areas in terms of snowfall.
