Still raining here in frome, just the odd sleety bit nothing more :-( fickle weather,

,snowing in , caine,dorset,Poole, Swindon, Trowbridge,westbury,salisbury , surely it will start here in frome soon? Good luck to all those places where it is already, hope you get loads.

Not quite snowing in Trowbridge, more like small ice crystals. I suppose its better than nowt !!

Absolutely chucking it down with rain.

It is FREEZING cold outside and i think id die if i were stuck out there tonight.

Its shockingly cold and yet just rain, No sleet. just rain.

Looks more like sleet falling here now and looks just a tad closer to snow.

Seems the thread is in desperate times at the moment what with all of the despair type images being posted up. -_-

lol, just seen the latest nae , looks like snow in the SW was all a joke lol. Raining heavy in weston , and latest models have snow no where near us .... Don't care what anybody says our local forecasters got this totally wrong .. and the models didn't do much better lol

Started snowing here in Stroud about 20 min ago slight dusting on everything. Hope it continues and intensifies! :drinks: Temp 0.3 DP -1.1.

Light rain at 20.00 changed to frozen rain at 21.00 which has just caused rapid freezing of wet surfaces. Now snowing onto glazed ice surfaces. Depending on the degree of surface treatment, road conditions will become rapidly dangerous in the next hour or so with glazed ice on the surface. Spot on forecast by Ian Fergusson contrary to some posts above.

Risen 0.7 in last hour? Lol

If it wasn't for the let down of last weekend I would feel more aggrieved!

Anyhow, "the pro's" were wrong. Looked at models too much and forgot about basics. The type of schoolboy error that us amatures would do, not the pro's....bit embarrassing for a particular forecaster....
