Snowing in in Sydling St Nicholas just South of Yeovil I've just been informed and temp is falling here now 1.4 from 1.8 a couple of hours ago!!

Heavy rain here - no sign of wintry stuff

Whats happening over N Somerset? The NW radar is showing snow up there?

Well in my part of North Somerset .. I.E Weston super mare town centre it is just chucking it down with rain , not a drop of sleet in sight ...

I just wish the huge gap in PPn to the north would fill .. I dont want it to start snowing and then stop ( Not like its started yet, but if its snowing north of here and south of here and east of here then it should snow soon surely? )

5/10 here! It's settling on cars and grass and just trying to on pavements. More please!

Also I'm desperate for sleep but brain is just thinking of snow so no chance!

Moderate/heavy snow here now. Settling on grass, rooftops, cars, but melting on roads and pavements. Is the PPN moving faster than expected as I thought the heavy stuff wasn't supposed to hit here until 12.00am?

Well, good luck everyone! :good:

I'll probably stay up until about 01:00... If it's not snowing by then, I think I may as well throw in the towel!

Just popped outside and it's raining currently, but sounds like the surrounding areas are starting to get the wintry stuff...

Hope it arrives here soon!

just drizzle in this part of Weston, no heavy rain to even turn to snow lol

Can someone explain to me how exactly its going to be raining/snowing until approx 3am with the speed this is all clearing off?

Looking at the radar, my answer would be it isn't going to, but BBC and MetO seem to think otherwise.

Anyway, that small chunk of intense ppn approaching Gloucester is heading my way by the looks of things. Still rain outside though the cold air just isn't reaching us. I really am not looking forward to driving in the ice tomorrow morning when all this muck freezes over.

It does seem to be pivoting west now but too late for much here i reckon - maybe an hour or two of lightish snow from midnight? I reckon just south of Bath could have a couple of hours of heavier snow

It has arrived in Wincanton. Temp dropping too, with wind picking up noe from ESE. Temp 0.1c DP -1.2C

Well temp is much lower now at 0.0C compared to the 0.7C we had 10 minutes ago!

Light snow here as well with it also settling.

I think those two organisations have lost a lot of credence today - so i wouldn't take much notice of them

Yes,definitely snowing in Wimborne now, but I can't see how it's settling or otherwise, except of the front garden, where it is starting to settle.
