Well, I've just gone for one last look...

It's snowing!... Yeay!

Sounds like there's still a bit of rain mixed in with it though, but cars, grass and driveway is starting to turn white! Woohoo!

Will have another sneaky peak at midnight!

All these reports of settling snow yet so many earlier were dismissing any chance of that happening! :-)

Meto had us as 'late on' as a target area in earlier forecasts. ok other parts east had snow they werent expecting ..

It's now snowing here too.

The forecast for here was heavy snow from 6pm through to midnight, then light snow until 9 tomorrow morning. Looking at the radar, there's not much left to come but the radar hasn't been particularly accurate today either - it's all been a bit odd.

Snow slowly getting heavier here.

Cold miserable rain in Wellington. Air temp 2 degrees; no snow coming here. Missed it by 50 miles last week; missed it by about 30 miles this week. Winter so far, despite some days of cold, has been very disappointing and current suggestions are that the northerly next week will be an east of the UK only event.

Not impressed. :-( NAE got my hopes up earlier today too : that'll teach me to bother to check charts again!

Does anyone know if it will do that "pivot" thing around us?...

20 mins of extraordinary snowfall here and still going strong.. must be under that tiny red blob on the meto radar !

Probably the back end of it now but maybe some flurries to come later...

Wow, its snowing about 1 mile east of me. Still rain here! haha not even a hint of sleet!? with a temp of 0.6c and -0.3c dp.

Really interested to see what falls out of that intense area about to cross over me.

Yes greed it is intensifying could be interesting through East Somerset, Wilts and Dorset over the next few hours.

Foggy, mild and rainy.

Totally different than what the models and pro's forecast just 12 hours ago.

It's for this reason, ironically, that I love weather; it will do what it wants, and no one can change it, and even at times, predict it!
