Whereabouts in Somerset are you, Alex?

It started off as rain here then turned to frozen ice pellets (hat tip to Kumquat) then very quickly turned to snow. I don't know that it'll last all that long though, looking at the Met Office radar.

Anyone under the really heavy stuff showing as red on the net weather radar scale?

It should be crossing over me in within the next 15 mins I should think.

Light fine snow now west of Poole. Dusting covering on grass and vegetation. Driveway and road a light dusting. Will it continue? Will it freeze hard? Will it turn to rain?

Questions, questions? My nerves are shot!

On raintoday they are showing a very intense spot coming near to Bristol. Hopefully that should bulk up what we have already.

Wow, it's now crossing over me - i had rain all night and suddenly its just turned to heavy snow. Settling so fast on cars etc, pavements slowly going white and considering the ground was soaked..that's pretty fast.

How's things looking in Bristol at the moment? I think I can see the odd flake appearing amongst the drizzle now.

Looking good in my neck of the woods!

If we can have a few more hours of this we should get a few cms!

I'm in Downend, to the NE of Bristol and it is much lighter now than it was. I think that's probably just about it for me,

I am keeping my eye on the Met Office radar. It's all heading south west, so I would think you'd get some.

It changed to snow quite quickly.

Heavy snow apparently here. Just rain actually.

Unbelievable, I do believe I'm cursed. I even went to Norway (lillehammer) for a week in Jan 2009 and it didn't snow one flake...

LOL! So you're going to keep the neighbours up with a 500w floodlight then!

I think that's fair enough personally!... I'd do the same if the council turned my streetlamp off!

The street light outside here might as well go out lol all that's falling past it is rain, at a stretch I could say its ever so sleety every now and again.
