I maybe wrong, but there seems to be PPN spawning in the North Sea and linking up to the main band... this might help keep intensity for a while longer, can someone who knows what theyre doing check....

There looks to be some developments off the Suffolk coast arching into the Estuary. Maybe our colleagues in the mouth of the Estuary at Southend can have a fall of snow.

What are you 35 miles south ? Its picking up again very large flakes

Amazing didnt think we would get this much , kind of between the two main belts.

Yes about that ..... its still coming down but very small flakes. It is settling tho so I'm keeping everything crossed!

Well meto couldnt be more wrong. Heavy snow predicted for last 2 hours and not a flake to be seen.

Drove down from Harrow to Raynes Park/Wimbledon this evening. The whole of West London seems to have got 2-5cm. About 3-4 cm here in RP now.

Very poor forecast from Met Office - have the excuses started to flow yet?
