i wouldnt say it was a massive balls up, although they were clearly wide of the mark - they did say there could be a few flurries over London. It's not like it's a foot deep where none was forecast.

I agree though that unexpected snow is the best variety!

awful forecast thou. its completly wrong, its much futher south and east and even latest bbc report has snow over cardiff-bristol area at 6am, looking at the radar thats never gonna happen the whole lot will have waved goodbye to lands end by then

Noticed that the hvr ppn that seemed to have cleared through SE London/NW Kent, intensified slightly again, over this area.

Still light to mod snow, not far off 2 cms now, where settled.

Regards,

Tom.

Just about an inch in wild woolly Watford - still slight snow but according to the radar we seem to have had most of it. Temps slightly warm as well, showing 0.9C on my electronic thermometer, which I suspect over reads slightly but the snow hasn't settled on the outside window ledges, so it is still a fraction above.

Oi victor - its been snowing all over London.

Dartford - 1cm

Wanstead 2cm

Bexley 2cm

Greenwich 2cm

Parts of west London up to 5cm

South London have it too

Yeah but he posted a chart saying where he thought the heaviest snow would be in 'our' region and he indicated it would be along the M$ towards Swindon and and then up towards herts, i said that not the SE which is true.

`the snow has picked up again after a lull, not too much left radar wise, but decent so far... there must be 3cm on preferred surfaces now, while the floor is still struggling heavily.

Snow Depth - 5.7cm

Snizzling at the moment but intensifying to our NE so could be interesting in the next hour.

Decent night here in Ealing, we were in one of the sweet spots about 10pm, a good half hour of very heavy snow which turned a slight dusting into a decent covering. I'd say about 3cms, less on the pavements and none on the roads.

TBH, regardless of all the unnesessary slating of the BBC, they called it fairly well. A few cms in the west of the area, less further east. Still, having a go at the Met Office is the done thing isn't it.
