Guys lets get rid of this horrid cold and stop chasing FI. Roll on lovely summer days :)

You've got a bit more to come this weekend!

I can't get excited about this weekend. It just strikes me as a mild to cold rain / sleet event, which will be unpleasant on Saturday, then Sunday being a bright, crisp day. Reasonably cold, although pleasant. Any showers would probably be sleet / snow, but inconsequential.

I agree probably be wet then bright and sunny and cold then turning extremely mild next week, when the good old Azores High drifts over to France pulling even warmer air up.

Yes, I've seen the synoptics for next week. It should feel Spring like, which I'm happy about, even though I like snow too.

Looks like we could get a bit of rain later tomorrow afternoon:

Temps will be cooler too, so it will be a hunker down with mulled wine kind of end to the daylight for me!

Sunday gets even colder:

Shame really, have loads of outside things to do including a thorough clean of the car and several sessions of dog walking - looks like wet weather gear with thick socks and shirt this weekend!

I love cold and snow and the snow the other week was fabulous. BUT lets be honest, this winter has been extremely poor with any cold weather always in FI and never getting any closer! Its a glorious day outside today, sunny and very mild and its now got me looking forward to spring and summer!

Any snow that falls in march will quickly melt due to the longer days and sun strength so whats the point? Roll on summer i say and lets hope next winter is far better than this one!!

I don't know why people are bigging up the event over the weekend in this region - rain clearing overnight on saturday then sunday will start with a frost then fine and sunny. Temps up to 7c. A NON-EVENT

Of far more interest now is the exceptional warmth predicted by the end of next week.

So temps could get to 12c or 13c next week? Is that going to mark the end of the regionals? Will be odd in February for weather like that but guess will be good to get outside with the kids...

Where's Yamkin? I'm very concerned that next week's mild spell is going to melt the rest of the lying snow in Croydon and lead to a flood risk.

I'm sure Yamkin and Croydon council are prepared.....
