When are we expecting the rain here?

Last night the sky was that yellowy dark colour before a massive thunderstorm. Shame it was caused by the sunset and not by an incoming storm. It did reminds of those summers of the 90's though!

Watching the BBC last night the water companies are speaking to the Government about water concerns, they reckon this summer will be worst than 76, this year and last has been the worst in decades for lack of rain, by looking at the coming weeks the Azores high is having such influence that could well happen, How do European countries fair as the High is nearly so close or are we just wasteful with our water and assume it is going to rain all the time, by seeing that post about flooding are you sure?? cant see that happening!!!!!

There were several reservoirs in our area that are very low!!

Haven't seen anything of this squall yet, we've had about 5 minutes of light rain, but that's it.

Clouds are moving incredibly quickly!

Have to agree that the temperature drop has been impressive. I don't think there is any chance on this front of rain but the next blobs coming in might hit us at a colder than expected temperature. According to predictions it should be 7C and a SW wind, but it is already 4.6C and defo not a SW wind out there

Good post JP. ECM is going for a colder trend around the end of February. Let's see if other models pick up on this, but GFS did show a colder trend as well a few days ago.

Wow very quiet on here! Is very sunny here today but the breeze makes it feel quite cool, can't believe the temperatures that are being forecast for Thursday and Friday...wonder if we will get normal temperatures after that, the seasons are all confused at the mo, BBQs last October, only fleeces needed in December, makes me wonder what summer has in store!

Anyway hope your all enjoying your weekend! :)

Have to say if we aren't going to get any snow in the forseeable future, i really won't mind seeing sunshine with temps up to 17c. Once we get into March i'm usually looking for some Spring warmth, so not a massive fan of cold Springs. Would still love some more snow before winter is over, but if we aren't going to get it then some warm and sunny weather is my next best option. Anything but grey, dull and wet muck!
