Getting fairly repetative this. Seems as if the seasons are getting earlier.

I'm have expecting this rut to spectatcularly explode, and the summer to be a wash out.......

I actually think, that we are pretty good on for odds of the washout period being April-June/July and June-August/September being pretty good.

I'd take that. Although last April was spectacularly good, the dull, mediocre summer that followed, more than offset it.

I've not seen that snow risk on ensemble chart before is it a new feature or have I been blind all this time?

Considering the time of year I'm not getting excited! If I was living further north I might do but down here we really do need to get very lucky indeed to get a real snow event and cold rain / wet snow is prob still the 'best' we will manage! but I'm keeping a close eye on the models this coming week

umm yes and if you like a white chocolate bunny at Easter there may be something else white too:  should be just perfect for the nice canal trip we booked to repeat based on the weather we had last Easter - 'neige fondante' french for slush LOL

I did put a request in for snow for Christmas eve on an earlier post so you never know!

Perhaps nature has just got round to dealing with your request?! Hmm backdated weather.. that would explain a few things actually :D

Another glorious morning here in Sussex with a cool start of around 6.5oC. I remember last March being very warm too, hopefully not a repeat of last Summer though thanks.

Rising sharply now to around 10°C as the sun gets up, another cracker in store for today and right through the week by the looks of things!

friday shows a weather front heading towards us from the north east

looks to me if the high pressure is being squeezed to our west

What a gorgeous weekend :) but I overdid the weeding & planting and mashed up my back... ouch!

An almost cloudless few days coming up with 23 degrees a possibility! Hopefully we can squeeze another nice weekend out of this.

Pretty decent agreement on high pressure not being far from our region for the next 7 days or so tho not as warm or clear as is currently.

Certainly some signs of cooler, unsettled weather from the 4th or 5th April but its fi and only gfs goes out that far for now.

But gfs does have support from longer term guidance with it showing pressure rising over Greenland and trough over nw Europe. So even tho its the gfs runs in fi, u could still say there's decent confidence on that pattern verifying.

The run also matches the gwo composites for April posted by gp recently.

A northerly or nw'ly flow the most probable outcome based on these

Yet another sunny day here in Hatfield Peverel.

I've just been looking at current temperatures and have seen that it's 19C in Kirkwall, in the Orkney Islands. That's got to be well above their average July maximum!

All this talk of WARM weather, it isn't very warm on the north kent coast which the forecasters have failed to mention... In that wind is damn cold and a coat is needed :(

I went for a long, solitary walk from Broadstairs along the cliffs yesterday towards Joss Bay and North Foreland. Bloody cold. Maxima of 7 degrees in Ramsgate I see, but at least I managed a bottle of Rioja in the Captain Digby. I also avoided decapitation from an errant golfer's Titleist No 5 on the way but have the ball as a momento.
