So what is happening to Kaddy Lee-Preston then????? I saw her leaving BBC SE Today last Friday and no mention of where she is going and nothing on her Twitter feed???

I've never had the pleasure of a kaddy forecast....stuck with peter cockcroft on BBC London :(

At least Laura Tobin doesn't seem to be going anywhere :)

Good post in model thread (#427) from tws last night on why western areas are doing well from the front stalling while places further east miss out....stupid north sea lol

Not a lot down here I would have thought. It will probably feel chillier in the wind but apart from that I doubt we'll notice much TBH. Certainly no April 1989 or April 2008 event! I know events like these were never expected but it would be nice to get a dusting over the downs at least. Still, fair play to Scotland but a non event for SE England. I expect temps will reach 13C tomorrow somewhere in the SE which is if anything still above average for early April. Pathetic......

EDIT: As expected the MetOffice have once again upgraded the max temps tomorrow to 13C for the SE with mild air hanging on all the way in southern parts of the region!

Looking at a couple of charts for tomorrow, I'm wondering whether we are going to get significant rain in the south and east of this region at all now?

Time will tell.

Sunny here all day, lots of cloud sitting up on top of the hills but the Downs seem to have shielded us to the south of them!

It's gone rather humid and some thundery like drops falling from the sky, reminds me of a summer before a cold front :D

Just had a 20minutes of intense rain. 3 flashes of lightning - loads of thunder and 5 mins of pea sized hail.

As for tomorrows rain - looking even lighter then forecast, once we get rid of the rain tomorrow night, hopefully things will start to dry up and warm up in time for the weekend!

Sunshine and warmth - please come back :-)

Been raining since about 4pm here but just had very heavy rain start again, was like someone aimed a hosepipe at the window! Watching the tornadoes in Dallas on sky news, destruction is so sad, makes our weather pale into insignificance.

Oh great - just cool air with more rain around!

I'll start doing cartwheels around the lounge..!

Jeez - weird people looking forward to a miserable Easter weather wise! Strange!

Roll on when the spring sunshine shines on our day again

Nothing exciting here...about 3mm of rain (heavy at times) not even enough to fill the water butt... I suppose I should have got out all my empty containers, buckets etc to collect the water as there is a hosepipe ban in the Anglian Water area.

I'd certainly rather have 'insignificance' and a drought than something like this right over my house though.....

Is this just a general weather discussion now then on here? Used to be a cold weather forum for those who like cold weather, not weird just what the forum used to be, I like cold weather more than warm, if everybody liked the same stuff it would be very boring.

OMG...yes I would rather have the weather we have, I hope no one thought I was saying otherwise, was just saying our weather is most welcome when you see what some have to deal with and to spare a thought for those in parts of America hit by those tornadoes.

The regional discussions have always been more general 'chatty' threads to give all members a chance to post and discuss the weather within their region whatever it's doing or not doing, I suppose they have been more cold biased posts as that is when the forum is busy. Personally I like all extremes of weather, snow, heat waves, T-storms and high winds in particular, but anything apart from grey damp mush !

I hope no one thought I was saying otherwise, was just saying our weather is most welcome when you see what some have to deal with and to spare a thought for those in parts of America hit by those tornadoes.

I didn't think that at all - hopefully everyone was safe on that video, it certainly was close !
