Just got on the train at Upminster to go to Brent Cross for work, clouded over and is now pouring - left my coat in the car.... Invoking the wrath of the weather gods!

Still sunny spells here, near Chelmsford. Lots of ragged cumulus though.

Aye, same in Ipswich. Still quite chilly though. :)

This is my take on things look at various models and pics people have posted...

The Green area is where we need to look for storm and shower development..Things that pop up here moving east Very slightly South east movement..

Red/Yellow : Good potential of a thunderstorm..Of course I overlapped yellow and red because it's any ones guess to where the most serve storms will go...

Orange zone: This is where I think the bad boy storms will fall...If they can get going around Bournemouth way and develop as they head east then you guys could be in for "proper" storm.

I am no storm expert just collected data and threw it out there! XD

It looks like your orange zone is where showers are already turning thundery. I wonder if we'll get a distinct trough later on?

There's a mass of showers around here, at the mo. None, as yet, has turned thundery...

Just started chucking it down here in Benny Hill. With a bit of luck the thunderstorm that's just passed through Fareham and Portsmouth is going to bring something more exciting here shortly!!!

Quite a lot of T&L in Portsmouth area. Will it transfer east?

Small storm passed through here not too long ago: at least five rumbles of thunder, several IC lightning strikes and heavy rain. Possibly more to come later?

Good sign that there are a lot of showers breaking out already, and it isn't even mid-day yet... Look's like we'll be getting our first of the day here in a little while.
