Ah Watcher forget about it! The top of the Sperrins is a different country! Lol! Very chilly out tonight and on my way home from dj'ing there was definitely sleet falling or very icey rain falling. Could see it on the windscreen of the van. Angie did mention on the radio earlier that there would be hail or sleet showers.

Someones still awake. I thought I was alone being alive and kicking at this time of night. Absolutely freezing here, was a frost developing on cars as I came home from the Casino earlier at about 11pm.

A very chilly night last night, my outdoor thermometer registered only 2c when I was going to bed last night and 0.5c when I got up this morning. Everything was covered in frost. Winter is here!

PS love your new sig Watcher! :)

Oh! The Casino! Were you out splashing the cash tonight! Lol

And waving my arms and fists at the Roulette table. Never, ever change your bet....could have had £500 for £1.50, instead have -£100.

I posted up the other day in another thread that November looks to be less blocking and more mobile, PV strengthening as Strat temps fall in line with average for the time of year. Possibly the Autumnal spell of strong lows with some back end cold spells?

Sods law BFTV, but I guess we have our winner in the First snowfall competition then. Who was the 1st of November then? I know I was the 2nd of November. whistling.gif

Another turn of leaf, popped into the casino for a few minutes tonight with £3 and won a lucky draw to spin the wheel of fortune. Prizes range from £5-£250 and I scooped a lovely £100. Only 2 weeks ago I spun the Jackpot on it also. Some luck considering there's only 1 of each 100 and Jackpot on the wheel out of 50 prizes.yahoo.gif

Chilly and some spits and spots of rain here tonight. If skies clear tonight I may see my first frozen puddle of the season in the morning.cold.gif

I wouldn't say we have a winner. Nothing confirmed yet and nobody has actually seen it?Lol!

I think a general look at the conditions in Cork yesterday will confirm if conditions favoured any snowfall.

The competition isn't that important, unless Ronan pays for a spot on the Netweather Stormchase next year????

It is the 2nd today, don't mind me, just getting the snow blower out:

Pictures and verification of my snow covered garden coming soon.pardon.gif

About 4pm, after we arrived home from a soaking up in Glendalough, I drove for 5 minutes in biblical hailstones and heavy rain. I was looking for funnel clouds it was that akin to it!!! Bizarre stuff, couldn't see further than 50 yards up the road, and with the leaves blocking the shores, the roadside resembled a ravine in torrent!

Loved every second of it!

Been loving the cold weather lately, looks like taking a break this week though.

There were plenty of photos posted of the snow last week on boards.ie btw.

But I'm all for basing it on reports from members here. Helps with my guess at least!

I saw that and it did make me wonder. I think they sometimes go a bit OTT with the forecast.
