Look at what the rain is doing...I think this better explains...It's spinning anti clockwise of course..But just look how much it has moved from Portsmouth...50 miles MAX in 1hr 30mins

That explains why it feels like I'm stuck in a washing machine that is on the rise and repeat cycle....

It's not so much that the rain is particularly heavy today, it's just been relentless and is starting to cause minor flooding in our car park.

No more than a few spots so far, and very little wind...It's also quite muggy.

We've had 5mm here so far this morning, which added to the 14mm from yesterday has made some rather big puddles !

At least it looks like we'll see a drier afternoon bar a few showers once this band of rain clears to the North. Looks like we'll see rainfall rotating back around bringing us further wet weather tomorrow, though! Perhaps even into Wednesday and Thursday too before a drier weekend!

Bring on the rain

I'm not sure about hell it's not that warm here but the wind is picking up now so maybe it's time for the fast spin next !

Been chucking it down for the last couple of hours at the office near Harefield. It has now eased off somewhat but it's still pretty heavy. I have fallen victim to the modern tendency to treat a car as a coat, and am now faced with the 100m dash to the staff restaurant wearing nothing more than a thin cotton shirt (actually that's not quite true on reading it back - I am wearing trousers, lest anyone is put off their lunch). I could I suppose put on the high-vis waistcoat from my car, which might look a bit odd as well as offend the restaurant staff who would think it was some kind of judgment on their safety standards.

Picked up a new (to us anyway) car at the weekend, came all beautifully clean and shiny form the dealer. One country walk in yesterday's weather with 3 kids and a soggy cocker spaniel and the car now looks like it has been retrieved from the Somme.....

Muggy and dull here as well. Reminds me of summer:D Train back to Norwich later . Wonder what excuses they'll have for disruptions if any. â˜â˜â˜â˜â˜

8mm so far today and 28.8mm since yesterday morn.

Maybe if we ask nicely, Nadine will stay for the winter and throw up a few meaty channel lows :D
