I think its all off, everyone!

Seeing an incredible 6 degrees on my weather station at the mo!

So much for daytime max of 0-1 Deg!

Take your thermometer out of the greenhouse then.

Think that classic was back in 1991. I actually saw a programme on telly many, many years later making the case that it was indeed the wrong type of snow because the stuff was getting sucked up into the engines and causing malfunctions. help.gif

I was stuck on a train into east croydon where the points froze in 1991 had absolutely nothing to do but sleep on train and wait as it was commuter time. Eventually got into work at 11.30am only 3 stops from my house (no mobile phone in those days) got paid at the end of the work experience which was a real bonus.

Bit too high methinks, is the sensor exposed to the sun? Langdon Bay near Dover right by the sea is only at 1.6C at 14z, suspect would be lower than that inland.

Er, not quite. 10mm would work a=out to approx. 10cm of snow, maybe more.

I would advise phoning just before you leave to check on the status of your flight. Still probably no garentee things will change but at least you won't leave home for nothing if it is already cancalled.

Thanks a lot! Thats what I am going to do..i love snow but when it comes to go holidays and you have everything pre-paid..it can be a problem!!

The company i work for has just sent out a text,

A red warning of snow in London and the SE from 3am to 9pm for tomorrow.

The NAE has no snow forecast overnight tonight for snow in London does it?
