Maybe this is the reason for the heavy snow forecast for South Yorks tomorrow morning? cc_confused.gif

nope thats a returning front from the initial push from the south west today. It carries very little precipitation

You haven't posted one! Seems to be pepping up a bit now (on the radar image).

How likely is it that the front which is shown in these shots will disintegrate or weaken/fragment as it moves North? Sorry if its a daft question!

as far as i can ascertain, the north sea boosts it as it travels north, only prob i have with it is positioning, the met have it further east into the north sea, and matt hugo tweeted earlier that it may fall as rain below 150 mtrs ....i guess its going to be another case of ``nowcasting`` come late weekend .. but my fingers and eyes are crossed , just goes to show how close FI is at the mo...

Quite heavy again here, similar to before. Snow depth on garden paths looks substantial now, will have to measure at some point if I can find my ruler, which I had on Monday!

Been stuck in a dry slot here for ages, but overall it's been a good evening.

Looking at radar things may be turning in our favour again :)

METO have again put in heavy snow for Saturday early hours 3-9am!! North Sea is kicking in to gear!!!!

METO radar showing no signs of snow giving up its set to progress for the next few hours which goes inline with met forecat for heavy snow! cmonnnnn!!

Where ? There's no snow in the area on the radar. Its moved away now. One minute peeps are saying game on me to predict heavy snow then next its game over etc. Be good if the mods did a regional model thread.

Look at the last few frames of the net-weather radar, note the direction change of the snow showers just off the Humber. Definitely more of an easily motion there now.
