Yep radar shows some snow coming again. Not sure how long they will last though. Temp very worrying here. 1.7c

Aye mate. Humidity dropping away though so we should maintain our Dew points. Currently 1.2C hhere but humidity dropped to 89% giving Dew point of -0.3. Marginal, but the right side at the moment! :)

where is the local bird table tonight??? Always shows a true depth!!!!

Haha! I'll nip out after this shower!

Still snowing steadily here in GY, nothing too heavy but snowing non the less. We have got around 2-3cm today which has topped up Monday's fall quite nicely. No thundersnow here unfortunetly. Temperature hovering around 0 thankfully

Temp -0.2C with DP at -1.2C so fnie as far as snow is concerned. Temp has risen 0.2C in the last two hours but has been steady for the last hour so I think we are going to be already.

I noticed that too when i went out. Why is this, its beautiful?

Well I would guess this is because they're single crystals because the air is so cold. Normally the temp is close to freezing or just above and snow crystals collide with each other making larger flakes and it's a bit of mishmash.

There is currently 7cm lying on all services, with drifts being upto 10-12cm in places. Has been snowing for the last 7 hours at least, and is very powedery in texture. Much better than I was expecting and am looking forward to the next few days for yet more snow, hopefully, in either the form of showers coming in off the north sea or the area of snow that is expected to move north from France on sunday...

Fanx very much, supposed to be in Lincoln this weekend but sounds like loads more snow here so the old snowed in excuse could be getting a run out.

Well its still snowing now and has been for a few hours but I know what you mean!

Look at the latest GFS run as an example;

If the Easterly which kicks in during the early hours remains unstable enough heavy snow showers should move into South Yorks as per the METO forecast;

Fingers crossed!
