Easing off now in Tunbridge Wells BUT I see from the MetO website that they have upgraded this location to heavy snow from 3PM - so hopefully this is just an aperitif! And of course it started three hours earlier than it was meant too...

Schools in Littlehampton being shut, roads becoming"impassable", trains still just about running (surprisingly), feels like 'old skool' winters - like I remember as a kid. Now where's that sledge. Still throwing it down in Chichester.

Just seen News 24 weather with Nick Miller and band of snow definetly breaking up with as others has said one segment moving North and other drivting a little East but not really moving much.Right on the edge of this one so from IMBY perspective just need it to move 10-15 miles further East please.Sat cloudy with light flurries and Sunday more potentially heavy Snow for whole of SE.Any comments Steve M as you are the man in the know.

Hi BB, seems we're up against each other in the London & SE Snow Depth Cup ;-)

I'd say I'm currently sitting on 1.5cm, hopefully lots more to come. Hope you do well from the lubbly snow x

I think those in East Kent can forget about today, this band isn't moving any further.

Another let down in the long list of let downs so far this winter

Patience young Padawan.

It will arrive.

The fun starts later this arvo for us Easties.

Look at the NAE and you will see...

If it does fail. Then there are plenty more opportunities to come over the weekend...
