Looks like the angle of the showers coming in off the forth are gonna be too far north for me to get any benefit. Might catch the odd shower, but somewhere could be in for a wee surprise tonight at least

I take back what I said, meteoradar shows some decent shower activity heading through the central belt by around 5pm - 6pm

Yes, the snow from that heavy shower is sticking better than the snow from the earlier ones did. It's still wet and icy though.Hopefully things will improve further this evening.

VERY heavy snow here. Not lying properly though. Looks like an exciting evening ahead.

Yip - snowing here - not doing much though - still, temp is dropping, down to 1c from 3c and dp is 0c so we'll see what happens.

A steady stream of showers on radar pouring in now along the East Coast, brief flurry here hopefully something a little more active up and coming.

Wind vector looking good, could just do with a little more energy coming into the flow, a very lazy easterly this one.

Going to be a good Evening of watching !

I went up the hill earlier. No dripping at 200m. A few snow showers drifted past. The wind direction has backed from 130deg this morning, to 90deg- a straight easterly.

Current station....1.0C/-0.1C

Light snow from about 16:10 for 20mins, most of the showers seem to be tracking the Mentieth hills side of the carse. Looking promising grey out towards Stirling.

Terrible news and I hope that there aren't any fatalities. Have you got a link?
