Just back from a sledging and snow angel filled walk

Still snowing here, very fine stuff but better than nothing!

Temp 0.6c (was up to 1.0c a little while ago!)

Been under a nice heavy band for around 20 minutes or more now in Surbiton, SW London/N E Surrey, depending on your view. Excellent covering topping up Friday's snowfall, although I notice snow sliding on car windscreens now - is that a bad sign? Will measure final depth when it fizzles out, maybe between 3-4 looking at radar.

Even better, my son's school in Uxbridge phoned at 2 to say it's closed tomorrow - yippee, snow day:) To be fair, the school is for special needs kids from all over Greater London from Surrey to Hertfordshire and all points east, and a minibus full of autistic kids sitting in traffic trying to get home for 5 hours is never a good thing.

snow has now gone over the gap between the wall and the bottom of the railing (about 12cm gap) This was my bench mark

Nearly 4inches in sheltered areas here up on the Downs at Telscombe Village and still coming down hard and steady , I just skiied through a 3 foot snow drift and nearly broke my back , LoVIN It !!!!!!!!!

Met Office radar has snow over us still at 9pm tonight. Do wish the lighter area of snow we're under would sod off though!

Yup I think that sounds about right, I keep looking at the radar thinking it'll fizzle out any time now, but it keeps building back into the channel

i have got so much snow up here on the downs near brighton , the skiing is bloody brilliant, heres hoping for even more white stuff , already got drifts of 3 foot deep , yippeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!
