Been snowing since this morning non-stop a good 4-5cm covering. Much improved on earlier in the week and still going wouldn't mind an increase in intensity just to bump up the totals but overall a good day and the little'un is happy blum.gif

Been out for an hour and a half actually enjoying the snow rather than just watching it!

Been chucking it down here for a good 30 minutes, proper size flakes. 5cms plus today. Measured 8cms in total in back garden.

Seems much more persistent than forecast the snow

Don't think so as it was forecast for much of the day, but get the impression it has kicked off a little earlier and headed a bit further west than forecast yesterday.

Can't believe Gravesend and Medway towns have missed so much of the heavier snow yet again from this cold spell. It's now heavier 20 miles West of here and will be for much of the afternoon. Very annoying.

Just touching 4cm in Gravesend now. So i suppose i can't complain too much.

Yep NAE had the sweet spot north of Clacton. Looks to be bang on. We may just scrape the edge of it!

Needs to do something, only had light snow and maybe a 1cm, and definitely melting so far up here.

Yamkin,

At work, near the centre of Croydon, are the council about to declare a state of emergency!

Hope your boys are out there gritting those roads, I'd like to get home later.

Cheers,

Tom.

Snow Ploughs have been fitted to many of the gritters and the teams are working flat out help.gifhelp.gifhelp.gif

Nudging up towards 5cm now. No heavy stuff which is a shame, but persistent intense small flakes. Cant grumble.

Touching 3.5 inches here in Strood, though I am currently up on the higher side
