Rain has just passed over, now temp reading 0c, all still to play for, watch out for ice out there. Fingers crossed it stays cold for any more precipitation. Good luck everyone hope you all get snow!

wow just hit -6.1c, its really dropping fast, coldest of this cold spell so far, I agree snow cover really seems to be helping and hopefully aid temps for tomorrow.

The latest GFS doesn't look like it wants to let the block to go away quite as quick, I think I'm reading it correctly, but this looks a good chart to me?

Agree about ppn looking progressive. Building nicely over Cornwall and travelling quite quickly north-eastwards. Also, a new "clump" appearing ahead of the pack reaching into Exeter.

Temp here 2.7c (highest of the day) in a light SE'ly that's picked up. Another site in Southbourne showing 4c. Little bit of microclimate here!

Temps at airport -3 and at my other site in West Moors -3.7. Other local sites only a little further inland are below zero, including Wareham.

Not holding out much hope for some snow but never say die!!!

In other news. The job interview that went disastrously this morning can't have been that bad! I got the bloody job. Woohoo. I'm still a bit shocked I got it, as it really was not a good interview. I waffled rubbish.

Heavy sleet here in Delabole :-) Appears to be settling on the tops of the cars....I assume this would be because it's so cold? :-)

It just shows what difference cloud cover can make. Skies have just cleared over here and immediately temperatures have dropped half a degree in 15 minutes. Could do with it to stay clear until dawn and then cloud over to keep the sun out and lock the cold in.

There seems to be a lot of ppn building on the radar or am I seeing things?

Really liking the Satellite loop from sat24, some good rotation and pushing north east.

http://www.sat24.com/nl?ir=True

yes definitely rotating. this site is good too.

http://www.yr.no/satellitt/europa_animasjon.html

if you click on the time marker you can speed it up and goes back further in time.

Hope we get lucky tomorrow still got about 4.5 inches in the back garden. Not much melt being north facing
