I'm pretty sure that I remember that yesterday, people were saying that the system should drag the cold air in with it as it rotates.

Or am I imagining things?

More than likely I guess. Wasn't on here much of yesterday so I may have missed that.

All being well things will become more favourable as the day progresses but I don't think that will be until at least the rush-hour onwards.

temp was 1.8°C at 11:30 now dropped back down to 1.4°C Dew P -0.7°C.

Id like to keep the Dew P on the right side but other factors are at play today.

Hi, This taken from the Met Office warning seems to confirm what your saying? Lets hope so!

Chief Forecaster's Assessment

Complex frontal features are affecting parts of the south through Tuesday. With flow becoming more northeasterly through the day much colder air will be drawn into the system and increase the snow risk and the area likely to be affected. There is still a fair degree of uncertainty in the detail and there may be further adjustments to the warning as events unfold.

Weather Impact Matrix

Oh good, then there's still hope that the Amber area might be adjusted slightly as events unfold. clapping.gif

That colder air aloft is now being dragged down, the temperature has dropped a degree here although it's still raining moderatly.

The NAE is progging the possibility of an inch of rain here by midnight and personally i think that warrants a warning for rain.

We had the same just before the cold spell started and there was flooding all over the place, roads closed etc .. I think this is an oversignt because of the complexed situation.
