Pretty darn wet here, which i don't mind. It washes all the crap away that the slushy snow had made last week.

Temp, 4.6°C and 5.6mm of rain. January is at 60.6mm.

Interesting we are still in the colder air in Poole with it being 1.5C currently, but it's still raining.

Expecting to see the warmer air arrive later this afternoon.

It's more to do with what's going on one mile up than at the surface. smile.png

That PPN is pushing in quite fast.

It will definately be a wet start to the 'event' (Somerset, North Somerset, Bristol etc) but its forecast to change to snow. Cant see much pitching on wet surfaces, but some will be lucky on higher elevations.

Not looking good here currently even this far North. Currently AT 0.3c, DP -0.1c soon to go above freezing and everything will melt.

There is clearly going to be a lot of rain out of this, at least at first, sorry folks. aggressive.gif

All IMHO but this band of precipitation is simply arriving at the wrong time and we need something to change in the uppers, wbfl etc. before I will start feeling positive about things again. wallbash.gif

I'm pretty sure that I remember that yesterday, people were saying that the system should drag the cold air in with it as it rotates.

Or am I imagining things?

Temperature has dropped 3.7c here still raining. I would be grateful if peeps in south somerset could give me a heads up if it starts to snow, OH working in Yeovil today and the A37 can very quickly get tricky.

Heavy sleet/rain on west Dartmoor/west Devon this morning, now turning to rain and melting all the snow that fell last night, dew point is 1 degree. Everywhere is just full of ice and took me 10 mins to get out of my drive and on the way to the yard this morning I got stuck a few times! Hoping the dew points fall a little later on, temp is currently 2 degrees, looking towards Cornwall and it's white! Anyone in east cornwall got anything? Is it raining where you are?

That is some pretty impressive ppn on the radar, if this lot falls as snow inland and it keeps it's intensity some place could be seeing rather a lot!!!!!!
