Don't know why people are surprised at snow falling in this set up. Doubtful it will amount to much and the majority will see nothing today.

nae latest goes for continuous "light" snow for sometime starting later today - sounds like some have already started too

No snow down south, looks like another boring, dry easterly again. Northern half of the UK is being hit by a lot of snow showers. And with Fridays snow now looking very unlikely, we may have to wait until next winter for a good covering of snow IMBY.

With those charts Andy showed it could be just be the odd flakes in the wind within the depicted snow zones.

We have had a couple of light flurries here this morning and this afternoon, nothing drastic teeny bits dancing in the cold wind. Was this forecast?

Excellent site! The photo section is a great idea to get all the photos together when an event happens such as the extreme snow over the NE. LIke the regional forecasts and the technical area is most informative!

Max of 2c today looks like Tony CET for March around 3.2 for March. Bar the odd snow flurry April fools today could well be the Joker in the pack ECM1-144.GIF?26-0

A few light flurries here this evening, Sixth day of falling snow here this month, but only 1 of lying snow at 9am, and that was a dusting.

While further days of light flurries are more than possible, chance of any decent snow now receding.

Any way returned from Tenby flurries off and on all the way home. Apart from near Bridgend when it was hammering down.

Parts of Anglesey could get dusting tonight, moisture being picked by a perfectly aligned easterly over the Irish and North Sea.
