I can do a tad more than that and still feel OK, maybe up to 30°C with a breeze or driving faster!. Current temp outside (with the new free weather station Posted Image ) is 23°C and feeling very pleasant.

Must admit as I get older I prefer warmer to colder (used to be up the paddock in the dark and wind/rain and not bat an eyelid in my teens, now I have about twenty layers on), Is it possible the as we age we feel the temp "better" or "more"?

Perhaps our skin is thinner (the layer beneath my skin isn't however!)

Perhaps we don't expend as much energy as we once did and warm ourselves up? Or maybe i should stop shopping at Primark?

Talking of the free weather station Robin, mine is still in it's bubble wrap but any suggestions for positioning the outside sensor ?

I stuck mine in the shed right on the door, so close to the outside but out of the sun (best I could do)

Well somewhere beside your own accommodation is best I guess... Posted Image

I have picked the best place I could outside the 2nd floor office area out of the sunlight, but the sunny start to today did give a spurious reading of about +15°C until it went into the shade and got back to a normal reading. Just be careful if you are up a ladder.

After looking at the ECM ens, there is a glimmer of hope for the start of July with the mean planting high pressure right on top of us with the likelyhood of it building over Scandinavia

Must be a genuine recording, my thermometer is on the side of the shed in a white box so it's away from any other influences.

Lovely day here. Very high wispy cloud, which made it easy for the sun to shine through..... That's all I want....Sun Sun and maybe a bit more.

Still awaiting a big exciting all day convective and storm report discussion with violent storms left right and centre.

Sincerely hope we have a day like that soon this summer :/

the sun has had some activity for a few days now
