I seem to remember our family rabbit arrived through the pleading of me and my sister to my Mum at the pet shop one day after seeing him all on his own looking forlorn in the window. Anyway, fast foward a few hours..one much happier bunny, one clean cosy hutch and lots of attention and tlc....and also a very unimpressed dad when he got home from work that eveningPosted Image

That's nothing. I thought my husband was going to divorce me when I got my little Border Terrier as a friend for our Labrador who used to become frantic every time we went out for an evening and needed the company. Husband slept in a different bedroom for a week and would only say, "haven't you got rid of that dog yet?" It was really grim.

Now of course, 7 years later, the terrier is the apple of his eye. It judged the situation perfectly and went on a charm offensive.

Typical that the North East is getting hit again... no surprise there then.Windy here, no rain as of yet. We had a few breaks in the cloud but nothing major.

Hi CK, Hope your wife is ok and happy wedding anniversary

Thank you Jan, see feeling better now, to be honest it was a shock as she is as fit as fiddle normally. Well after spending 4 hours in Death Valley (sorry Darenth Valley if you don't know it) she had a series of blood test, ECG, blood pressure test etc, she was told she was as fit as fiddle and they got no idea why she passed out, other than it fairly normal occurrence if you are a certain age and sitting on the toilet which she was, apparently doing this can affect the flow of blood to the brain. Apart from the delay, there was only 1 person there when we arrived, the service was first class. Her eyelid was glued and the bruise on her chin started to come out. Looks like she going to end up with 2 black eyes and a badly bruised chin.Anyway we decided to go to the BBQ and I was correct we froze our knackers off, got wet and didn't see the sun, but we saw the grand kids and found out that number 4 is due on the 31-12-13, so that pleased us tremendously. Well that was an extremely anxious / happy day. Edited by Charltonkerry

Evening all. Well we escaped any rain around today, which made our trip to London even better. Grey and windy now though. So glad we booked a holiday for August.... I'm not too worried about the temps here, a constant 24c would be perfect. But it's the cloud all the time, which really gets on my nerves. Anyway, rant over 😀. Enjoy what's left of the weekend....

Looks to be getting a lot nicer next week by the looks of it :). ECM also showing some hot conditions, then with another plume opportunity possibly in a week or so's time.

This time however it shows us as being on the good side of it, with the centre of the main low off NW France into the atlantic and Ireland. This enables the really humid air with potentially massive storms with MCS's maybe to push right over us instead of being shunted away like a few days ago. Then again, whats the betting that this will change and become another typical era type spell, who knows..

Good to see another potential hot spell and settled weather on its way maybe though :D

Think we are suffering a IMBY weather, as whilst it has been breezy here, when the sun did pop out it has been in the high teens, and even without the sun it still remains a good 15oC here ( must admit it is falling, so may get some sleep tonight).

It is not so much the temps, but the almost continuous cloud cover. I'm not a fan of extreme heat, so high teens early 20's will do me fine. But sun and blue skies is what I want to see 😎

Would it? high pressure in the Southern north sea would mean a southerly wind except for kent where it would be Easterly but with such a short sea track there shouldn't be any low cloud. I thought the charts were pretty good for this part of the world, even coastal areas for once :)
