[Summer of 76]

Morning, well at least the wind has calmed down from yesterday afternoon although still cloudy it's dry with a temperature of 11.6c.

 

PS From the Met O web site, seems like getting warmer but the cloud will be back ,hopefully that will change by the end of the week.

 

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Wednesday light winds, sunny spells and isolated showers. Thursday dry and sunny start, then turning cloudy but remaining mainly dry. Friday generally cloudy and dry. Becoming warmer through the period.

A heavy, but very enjoyable weekend, mostly without catching any rain and even with a few sunny patches yesterday. The low seems to be off to Scandinavia taking the wind with it and it looks like high pressure could be in charge again.

 

The sun is trying here in Sussex and although it looks like it did rain here in Mid Sussex overnight, I think we might just get away with it remaining dry in most of the region today (perhaps showers to the North).

 

Just a quick reference to something that caught my eye earlier on the latest GFS run:

I don't even have to draw my curtains back to know it's grey and miserable outside today.  It's becoming like Goundhog Day!

 

That said, it's good to see things are changing and we could see some sun this week - that will be a shock to the system, what with it also being Wimbledon!

Only 6 months to Christmas Eve. Wife got up this morning and I don't know if it was the result of her little incident yesterday or not, but I got this song stuck in my head that just won't go away, it goes something like, two lovely black eyes, oh what a surprise. Started to hum it and she suggested if I carried on that I would have a matching set :-) you can't beat that much love after 35 years of marriage, I would wish her happy anniversary on here, but luckily enough she can't turn the computer on.

Groundhog day is one of my fav films, Bill Murray is superb in it.

But yes, it felt like October on the bike this morning at 07:00, with that orrible NW wind (again)!
