Nice satellite animation from Meteociel. That cell over N.France, seems to be staying in situ and throwing some cells NE, at the same time.

 

Nice development Notts/Lincs way.

Just saw a flash of lightning in the distant SW

Norfolk just has some mid level cloud, most of the radar returns will be lucky to produce a drop of rain! In the meantime I've found a great way of keeping cool - I put my flip flops in the freezer for 30 mins....was pretty lush putting them back on

 here in Lewisham SE London, I just heard the first clap of thunder and flash of lightening....  then it all went quiet and now everything is completely still...... the calm before the storm???

Just got back from a very pleasant evening of alfresco dining and good company...it feels very tropical here and the air smells like a bag of newly opened compost - I can also hear thunder in the distance

Currently boiling in bed on my mobile, being attacked by moths attracted to the light! I see storms are popping up closer to home and for some reason I feel like a scared 8 year old again! I might just pop the bathroom light on for comfort!

A few reports of lightning in northern St Albans, I cant see or hear anything from where I am, so it must be rather far away.

I saw two bits of lightning one from the London cell and one to the north (probably north herts way) I also heard one bit of audible thunder although somewhat muffled probably from the London one also.

Yep anvil going up here.. Heathrow airport lights are lighting it up

Thunder heard in Harrow , NW London - in the distance .

Last one was a little louder .
