Ha! Big drops of rain just started then almost immediately stopped. Either that or it's the overflow..... No, it's definitely raining, harder now. Will this be a storm? Updates to follow

Won't be moving that way, current wind patterns would send it towards London.

I hope you are right...!

Evening all,

Just got in from work, coppery looking moon tonight, with a hint of AC drifting across it.

A few cells developing in the Channel and that large feature SE of Cherbourg, still spawning fresh cells on its S and E flank.

Could be a long night for both camps!

Tom.

Crikey, just got out in time, they've developed pretty quickly! More in the Channel, starting to get their act together, I see!

Just had a very heavy shower of rain here in MK - lovely smell of warm wet soil and it feels a bit fresher, no thunder or lightening though but hopefully tomorrow will deliver on that front !

Thanks Lottie,

This is what I find brilliant about these forums, latest radar grabs and up to date observations, same in the Winter with snow.

When I think of all the sleepless nights I used to have, worrying when storms were forecast, only for nothing to happen.

Viva Net-Weather.

I will gladly get my storm magnet out to swerve them this way and miss you Tom :) Sadly my storm magnet has been on the blink these last few years so I can't guarantee any success..

Really hot and sticky here in Reigate... After a high of 33c, Reigate grammar's weather station says it is currently 20.9c with a dew point of 18.9c which gives 88% humidity! Yuck
