I think the day's finished early here - it's gone back to night again.

overhead clap of thunder and it's starting to rain.

One rumble of thunder earlier, despite it looking very promising. Pretty skies though :)

Woken up 20 minutes ago by thunder - thought it was a neighbours wheelie bin at first as I thought it was only forecast for the west country.

It thundered for a bit between 7:30 and 8 too..that woke me up!

Looks like there might be another close hit in a bit as a small shower is moving our way..

Another storm just went active overhead.. Noticed rapid cloud development just south of me, and now in torrential rain and lots of thunder again

Morning all,

Great to hear storm reports once again. One solitary rumble of thunder around 8 this morning. And a couple of low, distant rumbles heard from my west a few minutes ago from a very angry looking sky out that way. (Took snaps, but they're just not doing it justice for some reason.)

Not a drop of rain has fallen here so far today. Currently 21.5°, and sun happily shining down on and off.

Storms to my west. storms to my east. Clear to my south......and guess which way everything is moving!

Will report back if anything changes!

Lee

Way too far west for anything today, unless something develops further west.

Yet another non thundery breakdown of a heatwave/hot spell here. We had some good convective activity last Monday but a good thundery breakdown of a hot spell is proving elusive for this locale. Edited by Weather-history

Woke up to thunder this morning, some fork lightning and the rain was so heavy like torrential and the hail was pretty big ( well biggest I've personally seen & got a video of it you can hear bouncing of everything), wasn't expecting it at all so nice surprise!
