Evening all, rather disappointing afternoon really, poor but not spectacularly stormy poor :p

Models are looking good for the end of the weekend and more importantly the weekend so plenty to look forward to.

Evening :)

A lovely sunny morning, clouds piling in by late morning. Rain started around 2pm and has come and gone all afternoon/evening with the wind picking up all the time. Noted gusts to 48mph at Langdon Bay close by:

http://www.xcweather.co.uk/

Also sustained wind in the Channel being recorded at 52mph at Sandiette Light Vessel! Wouldn't fancy being out on a ferry right now..

Thanks for confirming it was not a figment of my imagination then Ruthie . Despite being completely overcast the clouds certainly had a distinct coloured glow to them here around the same time for about 30-40 minutes. It was unbroken low cloud with not a hint of sun either and it struck me at the time as looking quite unusual. No street lights on at that time so I ruled that out  as a possible cause.

'Twas a pretty dismal afternoon which saw a few hours of moderate rainfall and occasionally gusty winds, but nothing noteworthy. Pretty much as forecast for our region to be honest. Posted Image

Evening all. Yesterday was awfull. I was driving over London Bridge, and I really wished I could of stopped to take a picture looking down the Thames. HMS Belfast and Tower Bridge was doused in horrible drizzly mist and rain. Then today driving over the same bridge at 7.30am it was glorious blue skies, with the sun shimmering off the Thames making the view perfect. Not great this afternoon, slate grey skies and some pretty heavy showers (typically as we were going to the local with some friends for our Sunday lunch) children were fine though, in their water proof jackets, and umbrellas.... Not the silly adults though😞

Morning Lottie, morning all!

A very clean and fresh start to the working week with a lovely sunrise and clear blue skies. A little bit down on the seasonal norm temperature but I don't mind as long as it's not raining as well.

Weekend weather didn't quite turn out as forecast but that was a bonus as it was largely rain-free during daylight hours.

Looks like a week of sunshine and showers with a bit of wind to come for some of our region tomorrow later on:

Enjoy the sunshine today, it's very uplifting!

Scotland? Because they have the 'interesting weather' at the moment! I'll always be a SE/EA regionaire at heart, but you gotta go where the weather is! Posted Image
