Morning regionaires.

Bright to the East, darker to the West but not bad overhead in Eastbourne this morning. Posted Image

How about a bit of a semi-serious prediction for the colder season then? No prizes, just the kudos of being closest:

What date will the first visible snow fall to the ground and give at least a light dusting in our region and where do you think that will be?

Answer in this regional thread so we can look back and check when it happens!

I'm going to say December 18th and I think it will be in Kent and Essex.

November 12th, in Cromer, the first Arctic plunge of the season.

I reckon that might be a close one, but will it be a white Christmas?!

I'm going for December 22nd, Essex or maybe a Kent streamer

December 17th 2014... Posted Image (I think the mods would have their hands full with banning a lot of argumentative, peed off people, in four months time or so, if that happened)Posted Image

More seriously November 27th as a complete guess.

Morning all

quick visit from me before I head off to continue the weekend chore-quest.

Felt nipping "in" the house when I woke up this morning, so was suprised to see it was 12oC out by 09:00 and when putting the washing out a while ago it feels rather pleasant out.  Dry for now, some sun too with a breeze.

Lots of interesting weather to our southwest today...

Local flooding issues etc?

I was late rising today and only caught the tail end of the BBC1 news and weather, I heard mention of 7mm in a hour I think for down there.

Of course it's worth noting that the first snow for the triangle of doom won't arrive until the 1st June 2014 Posted Image

Morning all,

Suffering my first hangover in months this morning - it's just reminded me why I no longer drink to excess anymore Posted Image

Weather wise, not a bad day out there (when I take my sun glasses off)  Although not wall to wall sunshine, it's bright and surprisingly warm

Right, I'm off to pop a couple of paracetamol!

Have a good day all Posted Image

I must say I am surprised we haven't seen any storms recently, the air has most definitely been muggy and we've had some spectacular convection cloud-wise.

Back from shopping (via the pub Posted Image  ) footy came on, so get 10p a pint off so stayed for a couple, not that I have *any* interest in the game other than I get cheaper beer when it is being shown.

Turned out quite nice too weather wise.

No issues here, about to head to lowestoft, clear blue skies all day long, though I expect the stiff easterly wind to be rather bracing.

JP, You could have sent it to Sydenham or Bromley for Jan.

My fingers are so cold from being outside doing the windows with hubby all day. Well, he did most of it, but I did offer cups of tea and helpful advice Posted Image

If it could be dry and sunny in Bookham tomorrow I'd be grateful. Day at mum in laws prep for winter as she calls it. Which is clear the gutters and tidy the garden up and put stuff away. Unless it's pouring with rain, she'll have us out there doing it.

Evening all. A drab day weather wise here. After the mid afternoon showers finished, I took my eldest son to the park, with some nuts, to feed the squirrels.... We had a great time, and got some close up pics on my phone... Sorry they are sideways, posted from my phone....
