I see Mr Madden's at it again with his 13/14 Winter Forecast (see Winter discussion).

If he's right I may as well pack up work for 3 months as we'll all be snowed in. Will be fun looking out for ice floes off the south coast though.Posted Image

I guess it's better for insane people to be doing long range weather forecasts than anything which could risk public health Posted Image

You Easterners are making me jealous, with your blue skies and fresh wind. That said signs of blue sky on horizon! Posted Image

Arggghhh, should have stayed over in Kent rather than come back into Sussex. Grey and grotty still in my fair County whilst the Garden of England had sporadic sunshine, a few clouds and a deal more warmth.

Looks like the best our region can offer is at Gravesend with 18.0 °C and you can see why from the latest satellite cloud cover picture:

'Tis not three bad over here, right now, Robin. It does, though, after the recent elevated humidity, feel a tad fresh...

It has been sticky so it's a welcome change. Nice to see parts of the region still enjoying what has been a pretty good year for weather.

To be fair, one year Madden might actually be correct based on probability. He forecasts a deadly winter every year, so maybe this year he may win the gold medal?

To be fair, we all could if we lived long enough!

Afternoon :)

Some sunny spells today, more so this morning, no fog/mist this morning either.  just about clipped 17oC here, still it is calm, pleasant and dry.

Might make the effort and take a wander to the next village and check in with the folks as the coming few days are looking like stay in type days.
