Just walked back from the next village and the cloud/fog/mist is dropping in here now, do not favour the early risers (oh, bugger! that is me then)

Sigh wish some posters on the model thread would stop shouting downgrades on a run which is much better for the longer term Posted Image

Ramp galore on the evening model runs! Yes agreed C.S. Model thread people moaning when indeed if you look at bigger picture a much better run with it more amplified and Atlantic blocked. Good to see split PV towards FI

the main ecm run was not a cold outlier

there are colder ones there

there are also a lot of warmer runs so just need to err on caution at present ( ramping still will occur though )

looking pretty windy on thursday

and also note how dry the runs are at present although a spread showing on the 20th onwards

Morning all. Another sleepless night almost over and it rained pretty much throughout with temperatures hovering around 12c. It's going to be another dull and damp start to the day for many of you I'm afraid. I think Robin will be driving to work with the hood up this morning !

I spent the night going through my old weather related photo's some of which I may have posted before so please forgive my indulgence. Posted Image

Stunning photos BB.

A mild 10.1c here this morning.

Trying  not to get excited over the charts JP has been posting.  Really hope something comes to fruition, so fingers crossed.  My resolution this year is not to visit the model thread, ever.  I much prefer the localised ramps anyway. Posted Image

Morning All.

Very mild this morning. The threads were full of activity last night, on the upcoming cold spell!!!!!!!!!!. Now i for one, would love deep cold and snow, thats all i want every winter. BUT!!! i'm sticking to my post about 11 Days ago, its going to be a MILD second half to November for the South East. As much as i hate to say it.

Cool at best I think for second half of November if you like mild weather. Even if we don't get the cold air moving in, the other high possibility is for the high to sit over the UK. Cold nights and crisp days. Mild air likely to come as we see weather systems from Atlantic from time to time!

Just over a week ago we had seen no frosts now total is 4.

Morning all.

Just under 15 hours of continuous precipitation down here and it's still drizzly out there now.

What we need is for it to get a great deal colder and then to get that Northern plunge, so all this wet stuff can be white stuff.....

Oh my God - anyone seen the Daily Star today?

"Killer storm to hit UK"

https://twitter.com/SkyNews/status/400035320806137856/photo/1

WTF? Journalism like that shouldn't be allowed!

Ahhh based on Vantage Weather...

Even if it does get here, it will just be a normal depression by then, the daily star should be ashamed of them selves, they are trying to sell their paper with fear, most GP do not know how these things work and could really get unnecessarily frightened by this.

In a word 'shameful'.

Exactly why I haven't bought a Daily newspaper for the last 25 years, it just makes fat profits for a few greedy owners and unfortunately yet again for the Mystic Meg Mug Jonathan Powell

Apparently Jonathan Powell has invented teleportation then. That's the only realistic way for that typhoon to reach us........

Was about to say, it will never travel 8,000 miles...and even if it did, it would just be a fart.
