bbc says grey all day, has done for ages now, cloud coming in from cheshire gap

Don't tend to follow BBC, unfortunately been a familiar story for the past few week's with many 'decent-ish' days forecast only to end up disappointingly overcast, Saturday the new Sunday this year, always grey.

Groundhog day, i.e a cloudy morning brightening to hazy sunny spells, with temp maxing 21.5-22c. Though todays max could be a touch higher.

Currently 21.1c with hazy sun, thin cloud just clearing from the north though cumulus starting to bubble up. Could do with an input of fresh air to clear this haze/pollution.

Yup yet another failure today, was expecting clearance from the NW and fresh sunny spells but noooo slate grey skies nothingness once again  :wallbash:

Cold front not through until late afternoon.

Brightened up considerably in the last hour or so with some warmish sunshine. Some nice looking showers over Wales too. With a bit more of a southerly drift they might make it here!

Sun tried to come out about 2 but now gone in again. Last night it looked on the satellite like there was a good clearance behind that front, but still we have this featureless grey rubbish. It's getting really boring now...

Lovely summer's day here - some patchy clouds, but really muggy and warm - 22.5c.

Yup once again Shropshire just about the only place to stay under the murk and not surpass 16.5c.

Quite a surprise downpour earlier this evening, the sky went very thundery and it felt ripe for something to kick off. The radar suggests the shower developed rapidly overhead after approaching as just a light shower. It's now cleared away to a moonlit evening, can definitely feel the difference post Cold Front as the temperature is dropping quicker than any other evening this week plus the humidity has dropped from what was a fairly sultry afternoon/early evening.

That looks to have been the last rain for a long time.

My Met Office forecast for today and the actual weather for today are 2 vastly different things currently.

I wish it were the Met Office forecast that were true though.

Saturday

Another fine day across England and Wales, although occasional showers are likely, especially in the northeast. Fresher across the northwest, with sunny intervals and showers, some heavy and thundery.

Great, I'll head down to the south coast won't need a waterproof - outcome: drenched.

After an overnight low of 3.9C we now have broken cumulus with plenty of sunshine, with the pressure remaining high we should have a bright warm day, with the outlook for the week just as good.

A good day in the garden is on the agenda!

Current Conditions.

Temperature 14.5C

Pressure 1017mb

Humidity 87%

Wind light from NW

I thought the air was meant to be clearer after yesterday's 'front'. A tad cooler today but still very hazy. Milky rather than blue skies.
