Heavy band is pivoting now and looks unlikely to travel much further north. Shame for us, sheffield looks like they're getting a direct hit on the northern boundary. I hope the less heavy stuff affecting us will turn more info snow! Still sleeting!

Tbh I'm not really holding out for much.

Precipitation isn't heavy enough for snowfall on low ground.

Temps are dropping steadily so we'll see.

Evening all, currently in langthwaite in north yorks dales, just drizzle here. Been all over the tops of the pennines today, via the tan inn, no snow anywhere up there. Is it likely to snow here?

Steady rain still in Barnsley. Heaviest precip looks like it will pass slightly south, so Chesterfield and maybe Sheffield should do ok, but doubt it will quite get to Barnsley.

With the precipitation set to pivit and move South think here in huddersfield will just miss out. Expect Sheffield southwards to do well though enjoy people. I'm off to pub.

Temperature down below 2C, dew point now before 1C. Noticeably more sleety.

Snowing moderately here now. Was sleety mix for 30-45 minutes then finally turned into the pure white stuff.
