Thin layer of slushy snow on the car roof. 100% snow still quite wet.

More snow than rain now , leeds bradford border bd4.

Snowing here now for past half hour and getting heavier, settling too, wheelybins covered and settling on paths.

Temps at 1.1C and dropping, was 4.2C an hour ago.

Winter has beaten Autumn, we are now all snow. Radar looks good.

Mostly snowing now here,about 80%,so def getting there,the transition is quiet quick,was raining an hour ago.

100% snow now. Not settling but car roofs are not shiny anymore.

Beautiful orange sky. Fully covered now, even the main Sheffield road is covered and surprisingly

no gritters have been out today.

Shame it didn't come a day earlier.

It's now snowing on the Sheffield/Rotherham border. As others elsewhere have remarked, the transition from rain to snow took place pretty rapidly. We are only around 50m above sea level.

Radar now starting to show precip getting lighter in main band and beginning to slip away east south east, and as expected missing Barnsley. Still raining steadily here but I'm not hopeful it will get any heavier or turn to snow.

I think soon the majority of west/north yorkshire will be down to precipitation rates of 1mm/hour at heaviest, unless temperature and dew point is zero or below, just isn't heavy enough for any appreciable accumulations
