Coming back from Darley Moor (300m) to solihull (?) in the morning. If we get snow up here overnight I will NOT be wanting to go home unless it's a solihull snowfest! (Anyone know how high asl Birmingham airport is lol)

I think it's about 150m

MIA yes, this is definitely getting more interesting. Dew points across region now 0c or less, mostly -1C. Just about cold enough for snow providing humidity doesnt rise too much.

Temp here fallen back to 0.7C, albeit I am in a frost hollow.

Fingers and toes crossed.

Hope you don't mind me posting in your thread.

Temperature here at the moment 2.9c with a DP of -1c,i monitor Manchester Airport TAF in these situations

Boxing day was spot on with the snow, however upon checking 10 mins ago it was showing rain

However you never know in these marginal situations

Dont want to burst the happiness here but these fall in dewpoints were forecast by the models this evening before they quickly rise in the early hours. Sorry guys but this one isnt happening. Very close though but tomorrow will be textbook cold rain methinks.

Seriously...am I the lowest asl? :(

Anyone beat 91m?

How about 59m and just 50 miles to the Irish Sea,normally my best bet is a very cold NW, with all the PPN through the Cheshire Gap

and MIA Thanks for the welcome to the midlands thread, alot of people think of Cheshire as the N Midlands, but I have been assured

It falls into NW England, regardless both our areas seem pants for snow

It seems as though I have been exaggerating my height above sea level.

It is only 130.493M above sea levelaccording to your daft application.

So its 9.5 extra snowflakes only for me.

The front is moving faster than projected so the predicted temps for this time aren't relevant, when i get chance I'll look at the predicted temps for later on, cross referencing where the front is now.

Wouldn't rule out snow just yet.

I'm not from the Midlands but I have a respectable 7m, crossing over the road and then a little walk it drops to 3m. By 2050-2100 according to major studies, my area will be claimed by the sea. ;)

You lot don't need to worry though for now...Goodluck tomorrow, snaw gets the pulses racing

Yep,

Odds are reducing now(25%), with the front coming in  more quickly .

We need more time to get the cold entrenched.

My temp has gone from 2.5C to 3.2C in last half hour.

Dew point now at -1.0C

Looking at radar there's some snow, sleet and freezing rain in Wales at the moment

Appears just on the very leading edge over high ground, we had a ground frost early evening, currently dry cloudy 2c here
