Not sure if it will make it and what it will be, but big blob progressing east, and as I look oot the window it has gone very dark out west. Still a good 3" covering up here, yet 2 miles into Bonnybridge there is little left at all.

Och you're grand biggrey, if we were to start policing comments that joked about the met office warnings being southern centric/over the top at times, then the kilted would be a quieter, less cynical, less funny, less informative place ;)

yeah i know strath the apology was tounge in cheek as well.just being a little p.c incase there are any more southern lurkers heavy wet snow now after some rain/sleet showers earlier

Biggrey how high up are you. Always good to know these things, for snow prospects for other folk. Can't always tell from the motorway cams as they are hit and miss for seeing snow. :D

only about 50m asl right at the bottom of the highland boundary fault when it snows up on the surrounding hills it sometimes makes it right to the valley bottom back to rain /sleet again 1.8c

Still wet snow falling here which must be due to the depth of snow affecting the temperature. There's been a lot of melt since this morning but there's still 8cm of wet snow lying. Temperature 1.2c and dewpoint is 0.3c.

Very heavy wet snow when I got off the train, a bit slushy but unfortunately not quite cold enough!

Think that's it folks. Although once the gaps appear and temps drop. Some of us might get a few snow showers. I think winter is over for the moment. Might get something later in March.

We're white again here but not a hint of snow.

It's all hail.

Would not like to be driving in that.

Horrible weather when you think about it. What is strange this winter is the Cumunolimbis clouds played a big part on a weekly basis bringing loads of Lightning and Thunder was all West/Northwest parts but even spreading into the Central Belt and into East Central Scotland. Can't be many winters where the East of Scotoand have had any Thundery activity. I've always seen the west get battered by showers with hail and thunder yet eastern scotland escape it with dry and sunny days.

Been wild and snowy few days at Glencoe since a snap thaw/freeze cycle late Saturday evening! In a few short clips:

Should be more of the blue sky and less of the wind on Wednesday - given the outlook it's drop everything and go for a slide at Nevis or Glencoe on Wednesday!
