Looking at Sunday it does look nice for midlands. Too far away to get excited about though.

I'm looking forward to the prospect of snow showers through Wednesday night into Thursday. I think it was two weeks ago tonight and a big snow shower passed through West Midlands and left a good but brief covering of snow. Get a few of these and could get a few cms.

See Shefali isn't giving anything away for tomorrow onwards, the forecast only went to mid-morning.

They have the top temp tomorrow as 9'c, but falling. I bet it gets nowhere near that warm anywhere.

(BBC's mild bias again)

Meto website forecast has my area down for heavy snow showers on Thursday morning, so it's a glimmer of hope.

The forecasts only give a general view, and are never very accurate at forecasting snow in these marginal situations.

It will be the usual nowcasting that really counts as some places may get a covering, while others get nothing.

But I hope we all get at least some snow in coming days.

If you Google Boston web cam and hit earthcam you'll get a live feed. View not too good yet as snow it too heavy!

Meto website forecast has my area down for heavy snow showers on Thursday morning, so it's a glimmer of hope.

And now the Meto forecast is back to sleet.

They must be throwing darts at random on a map every hour to keep them busy through the long dark cold nights.

Didn't she only get that job as she married the producer, or cameraman.

I am sure she is not a professional weather forecaster.

Is it a bit sad that I have really enjoyed watching the New York snow cameras? It's the first thing I looked at when I got up and when I just got in from work!

I could happily watch for hours lol

Tomorrow will be an interesting one. Not expecting to see any snow here during daylight hours, but still looking forward to the sharp change: kids and parents going to school are going to feel a lot colder when they go home in the afternoon!

Beyond that... who knows? I'm remembering Feb 2007 again: that was predicted to be a snow-to-rain event on the Saturday followed by just rain on Sunday even as the first flakes fell. In the event, it went a bit sleety on Saturday evening, but then turned back to full snow that lasted well into Sunday.

We could do worse than predicted... but last-minute changes don't always go the wrong way! :)

Hopefully we will do well tomorrow night and Thursday with

the showers.

My concern is Sunday a lot of us in the West Midlands will be too

far west and have the agony of watching the east get a pounding whilst

we get nothing.

that's certainly it for sunday, NW midlands looks worst placed for snow off this coming setup than anywhere else in the UK
