Looking at the model thread it seems the charts are finally showing some decent wintry weather over the next week and potentially some good snow events over a lot of the country.  Does anyone know if east midlands stand a good chance of getting snow this time around?

Morning gang...

Hoping for the best for us all.

Got up at 08:00 temp was 8.0C

Now gone up to 9.2C, but with a very gusty wind and occasional bursts of heavy rain.

Looks like the cold front is just about to hit.

Lets hope for some snow for all in next 24hours. After that who knows until sunday, after that it looks as though it COULD get much better.

A gust of 59 mph here shortly after the first front. It's just beginning to rain again after a brief clearance with a few sunny intervals.

A rapid fall in temperature in the last half hour. It was 6.6c at 0900 and now it's 2.1c with wet snow falling.

Edit; 1.9c now.

Blustery here too.

Just had to go and rescue the wheelie bin before it decided to trundle off on a little adventure!

Morning all, at 9am my temps were 9.2c and now starting to drop currently 8.1c just had heavy rain and very blustery winds.... must of been the back edge of the cold front.

Euro 4, NMM's are looking good for snow  :)  even Carol Kirkwood mentioned the North, Northwest, Wales and the Midlands will see snow tonight :D

9.33am it was 8.9 degrees here, 9.53am it was 4.8 degrees. I assume that means the front is moving through lol! Horizontal rain and gusty winds at the moment

Yh alot more windy than forecast some big gusts here. Possible blizzard conditions later for the peak district. Euro4 does look good but can be misleading when it comes to local forecasts.

Just had brief squall of rain, temp has dropped 2.5c in last hour, looks like another short band of rain coming through soon.

Some very squally showers just passed through here. Temp fallen from 9C to 6.5C in past 30 minutes or so.

Is the current rain band passing through the second cold front or the first? If it's the second, it's well ahead of schedule.
