Can confirm we have snow falling at the mouth of the Thames. Just a teeze or are we on to something.

Well that bodes well... good to hear and keep us updated please, I have a feeling that some could profit from this brief window of opportunity.

The prospect of further light and isolated soft hail showers for the next 5 or so hours as the pool of sub -10 uppers moves across the region, enough to generate those shallow cumulus showers and soft hail. Will make for an icy slippery morning!

Since last Wed night, I don't think I've seen so many sleet showers. Says it all really. The temperature just wasn't cold enough. Still enough time between now and early April for some snowy days. But probably the proper snow events have passed us by for this Winter.

Well if there is to be a proper Thames Streamer tonight, I will be the first to report it!

Got to be a very outside shot though. Like 50/1.

Just been outside and it just doesn't feel like "Thames Streamer" territory. Paul will know what I mean, you get that feeling in your bones down here when it feels right. You can smell it. You can breathe it. Almost connect with it.

I'm going off on one. Perhaps its just me.  :sorry:

Says it all when madrid has had some epic snow, and they are even further south lol, even a desert has had more snow than us, I have enjoyed watching it fall and taking my little boy out for a walk in it, but I agree with steve, looks to be over now, still only 10 months until the chase starts again :-)

Madrid has a cold winter climate and high altitude. It has colder Januaries on average than London.

Not in this part of Croydon, sunshine.

there cannot be many cases of S.A.D in Croydon in the winter if the sun is still out at 7pm

Hahahahaha! I totally get what you mean!

Have just been outside looking to the East and seeing if there is any noticeable convection... unfortunately not at the moment, but although it is bitterly cold out there now, it doesn't 'feel' like it's going to snow.

I would love to be proved wrong though!

Guernsey & Cherbourg are getting a pounding.

Of sleety rain by the looks of it!  :unsure2:

Just goes to show how much convection the North Sea and Channel can produce.

MetO has shifted my two hours of heavy snow until now... Due to start any time apparently? Can't see anything on radar unless that blob over the estuary gets bigger and shifts this way??

Much as I love snow I have to say by end March and into April I'm more on the hunt for those gentle warm, sunny Spring days...here's hoping
