Fine dry and sunny all morning, then suddenly hit by a blanket of sea mist, blocking out the sun. Now the sun has managed to burn some of i back, but the mist still swirls around the town centre in Bournemouth.

Lol I wonder how many families went to the South Coast today!

 

Best day of the week here, totally clear blue sky all day (although I actually prefer days when Cumulus develop) and we've nudged 20c for the first time since October.

yep, some mid level instability around giving some showers....sat24 shows it clearer to the south so it should be fine in an hour or so

Blimey, was not expecting that and yes the clouds are bubbling up, hmmm a definite forecast bust, must just state that before Mapantz gets a chance to.

I haven't watched a forecast since we discussed how bad they were.

There was a light sprinkling here this morning, but nothing registered in the gauge. Despite that, my own station had forecast it..

Forecast - warm and dry so went to Beale park. Outcome - heavy rain soaked to the skin. Crap again - Just don't bother making a forecast bbc.

Had a rapid 1mm of rain, more than all day last Friday which was drizzly most of the day!

all clear here now, mid-level showery stuff to the north, nice and sunny with some thin high cloud and the thermometer rising nicely.....should be a cracking afternoon for the bbq

Temperature rapidly shooting up, 18.2°C on both stations now.

The weekend doesn't look too bad either, even if the temps are down on recent values. Next week to look forward to as well.

 

Unbelievable! It has clouded over and the temp has dropped by 3°C pretty rapidly. You can feel how much cooler it has become.

 

3.4°C in 40 minutes.

It's not that weak around here, some very heavy bursts showing on the radar (oranges and reds among the greens and yellows), although only going to be brief before another lovely if fresher day.
