Showery all night and this morning but currently long sunny intervals.  At 13C temp is still significantly below normal and nothing better in sight.  Of course the current May Monsoon will inevitably lead to the June Monsoon with no improvement in the weather.

Actually didn't feel cold coming home this evening, with unbroken sunshine and that horrific wind finally dying down. Temperatures nothing special of course, but I'll be happy for some respite from the punishing autumnal guff.

If staying dry makes it a decent day then today has been a decent day.

Obviously our standards have dropped given the absolute rubbish so far this month but with a bit of sun thrown in, not bad at all today.

A much better day, but still with that chilly NWesterly we just can't shake off.  Managed an hour's sunbathing in the back garden, first time this wretched May.  I understand today we managed the dizzy heights of 15C, but at 10pm I was surprised my outdoor sensor is reading 13.8C, up to yesterday at around 10pm we were well down into single digits.

The sycamore in front has only just begun to produce the first few leaves while most of the buds are tightly closed which goes to show how cold it's been.

Another lacklustre sort of day here, non-descript though temps are at a more respectable value. Looking at the outlook, May well end up delivering a temp no higher than 17 degrees here...

Poor days weather here, started with light rain and drizzle and every time that a hint of a clearance tried to come in, the cloud and drizzle beat it to it and a day which promised to show some afternoon improvement has remained cloudy, damp and cool throughout.

Hopefully tomorrow will be dry but I wouldn't put my last fiver on it.

Suns finally put in an appearance, tomorrow not looking to bad and Sunday ...well,let's not go there ...

It threatened to do here but had second thoughts and now back to gloom.

Hoped to wake up to forecasted sunshine and use it to paint my decking but surprise, surprise; it's cloudy and everything is wet through from yesterday's torrential drizzle.

All being well, the sun is just running a little late and will arrive a bit later.

All turned out ok in the end.

Sun came out late morning and dried yesterday's rain from the decking.

Decking is now painted and looking nice again.

All we need now is some decent weather to actually sit on it.

Damp, dreary start to the day here so it looks like the garden will have to wait.

Hopefully the forecast improvement will arrive, and not to late for the day to be wasted.

Send the sun down here.
