Yes we are seeing a clearance with a strange yellow looking sky. Its been an interesting evening weatherwise, lots of character and atmosphere.

Still driving rain and outdoor temp 9.6C BBQ anyone?

Having an early night to keep warm in bed.  Goodnight all, let's hope tomorrow sees an improvement.

Rain early on but now brightening up with some small patches of blue showing. Still windy from the west (240deg) but chilly at just 13C.

Suns out ,feels a little warmer but still very dissapointing ....

Never mind, at least we have this weekends heatwave to look forward to.

Oh I forgot it's now a two day event reserved for those down south with us still stuck in the cooler air.

A bit showery around lunch-time. Went out at teatime and although still very windy the wind didn't have that "bite", felt quite mild.  Also lengthy sunny intervals towards the evening.  Currently around 4/8 cloud and outdoor temp.12.6C which is a lot of improvement over last night.  Must take care to reset my in/out thermo so I catch tonight's min.

Whereabouts does your sister live? It does snow in Texas, though rarely along the Gulf coast. Inland places like Dallas usually get a bit every winter and the Panhandle can actually get quite a lot (Amarillo averages 18 inches per year).

You know things are grim when Dianne is salivating over a forecast of 18C.

She's in Bexar Co (pronounced bear) San Antonio, not far from the Mexican border,

now and again she has experienced an ice day or it can be frosty, but

usually by lunch time the temp can climb up to 70+c

Not a bad day in the end.

Coolish morning but felt warm in the sun during the afternoon and evening and if the forecast is to be believed, even warmer tomorrow and Friday.

No heatwave for us but not looking bad and hopefully a dry weekend coming up for a change.

A much better day, though still colder than average. Much calmer with little wind and a lovely calm light June evening.
