i think it's comming your way :)...

Trying to brighten but still full cloud cover.

If conditions end up somewhere near it was yesterday I'll be happy.

Damn rain this morning, left my clothes on the line overnight and got up to find them wetter than when they came out of the machine. Guess I should have known better than to expect the nice weather to last longer than a day.

Yesterday was glorious in the afternoon with very light breezes and respectable temperatures. Overnight, rain that lasted into the morning with overcast but later, bright then sunny intervals around 3pm.  However we're back to that chilly NWesterly breeze with a miserable 13C at 4pm.

Surely we should have a pattern change after six weeks of persistant polar maritime incursions?  It's about time we saw some Spanish plumes, or even better a strategically placed summer Bartlett?

Some nice charts this morning, indicating a possible warm start to

June, although I am still cautious as these charts are just outside the

reliable time frame, fingers crossed and all that, but hopefully

summer will start in about seven days time.

Just come back in from the garden for a bite to eat.

Certainly not a bad day for those outside jobs, cloudy and even the odd spot of rain but getting a few sunny spells in between and although the current temperature is only 11.5c, it feels quite warm when the sun does come out.

Many things aren't in our favor for a decent spell of summer weather, at least not just yet. With the Euro-High being in the wrong place and reverberations from North American weather systems, aswell as colder than average SSTs around the coast. I do wonder too wether the effects of such a cooler spring may be attributed to the Holuhraun eruption which was averaging a rate of 20,000 tons of CO2 per day over it's 90+ day eruptive phase.

Went to see the three Queens on the Mersey yesterday, by chance I put the fleecy lining back in my jacket.

It was a good job I did, it was very chilly standing there but what a spectacle, had a brilliant view from outside

the Liver buildings, I live in a fantastic city

Looks very much like a change to more dry and warm weather is

on the cards Temperatures for later next week into the mid twenties, still abit of caution, but now the Meto are jumping on

the band wagon, my confidence of summer 2015 starting is getting

stronger

Not the best of days here, with variable cloud cover and another nagging wind...

Rain cleared to reveal a sunny but breezy day :)...

Same here but another damn cold breeze blowing.

Other than a week or so of decent and pleasantly warm days in April, it's seemed like a three month March.

A horrible period of weather.

Well I'll be darned... a 10C max in late May, as well as an awful, blustery NW'ly wind (I'm getting really sick of it) and mostly grey skies. Come on June, put things right!

Another cool day despite bright spells and bits of sunshine at time. A chilly NW wind again.. Cool evening current temp 7.7 degrees.

Tomorrow looks a decent day though with plenty of dry weather and sunny spells though temps not expected to do much again, before another deluge moves through tomorrow evening and Sat night. Hopefully this will clear quickly to leave a half decent Sunday with only a few showers.

Monday and Tuesday look very very poor early June and cold to boot. By Wednesday something drier with temps climbing back nearer to average. I'm not convinced the warmth will make it this far NW, but we should see temps at a very respectable level for early summer, and it will no doubt feel very warm compared to recent weeks. Low 20's a more realistic proposition than mid-high 20's.
