The NMM shows temperatures hitting 34C in two different regions of the south east, the first being west London, the second around the Wash. So the hottest temperatures should be in a line through these two points and into the East Midlands and Lincolnshire

The high humidity would suggest the cloud could bubble up with the risk of a few thundery showers. That seems to be the suggestion of the bbc forecasts with temperatures racing into the 30s by lunchtime, the hottest places will be in the west of the region but also where the sun can stay out for the longest.

Some nifty looking clouds here, warm too. So a high of probably 31C here in Chelmsford and 33C where I work up in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Looks like 35C is very much possible too in some places, London most likely.

I see some towers going up in the distance. Looks like they could turn into something good!

Already a nice breeze here, so it feels wonderfully fresh outside at 22C and humidity of 61% (at 08.00). No doubt it won't feel so comfortable later!

23 here, humidity only 58, might be another sunny comfortable day here unless that humidity creeps up, hope it doesn't.

It is over 26c currently and it does not feel pleasant this is enough for me let alone going 8c plus higher.

The warmest night here for a long time, probably since July 2006 in fact, with a low of 21.7C, already 24.8C outside, feels truly Mediterranean out there.

I think I'll put-off my trip to the hearing-aid centre for another month; it's just too darned hot, for a two-mile hike! :D
