Started the day at 3C with a grass frost! Didn't really improve in brightness and feeling pretty cool at 13C now.

Sunny start to day not too cool at 6c but tended to cloud over later with some sunny intervals and a top temperature of 16c.Combine back to finish last fields of barley in the afternoon so the gales can come in a few days once everyone else has finished. A few photospost-2744-0-00013900-1442350616_thumb.jppost-2744-0-77174200-1442350680_thumb.jppost-2744-0-34391600-1442350697_thumb.jp

Not so obvious in photos but straw  and grain is a much more golden colour than last  year when it was completely bleached by "Bertha"

It's an utterly glorious morning here, a cool start at 7am with my weather station reading 4.1ºC but lovely clear blue skies earlier on today (9am-ish out walking the dogs):

A few more clouds around now but still a gorgeous day. Feels fresh, but nice in the sun and little or no breeze for a change. Massive difference from the pouring drizzle on Monday.

Absolutely stunning start to the day here, wall to wall sunshine, no wind and 13'C.

I know they're not official but the HighlandWeather stations such as Oykell Bridge have got down to similarly low temperatures over the last week, the slow change very much setting in.

Last but one field of straw baled up this afternoon ,last one grain ripe but straw geen so will have to let it wilt. A nice sunny morning with a high of 16c turned into a cloudy afternoon with a bit of drizzle late pm  followed by steady rain all evening. Currently 11c. Next suitable straw baling day seems to be Sunday afternoon.

Despite how threatning the cloud looked when the sun was going down (those showers we're advancing) we missed all of them

Morning campers! Yet another stunning day ahead up here. The Indian summer has well and truly arrived! Cool at the moment but once the sun gets going I think it will turn out to be a very pleasant day.

It was a stunning walk with the dogs this morning, the altocumulus (?) was clearing south-east leaving a gorgeous sunny morning.

That last pic is more or less the view from our house, I've started enjoying living out in the countryside again. When we came home last night from work at about half ten I got out of the car, looked up and said a proper "WAW!" at the stars :D

First Image there is a cracker Catch, having that for some new wallpaper :)

How is everyone - hope you are enjoying this rather settled September period.

Apologies for not being on often over the summer, been rather busy with home life. Out of hibernation now for our Autumn and usual winter shenanigans.

Hope everyone is well, have a great weekend !

Fog's gone but the cloud is sticking. Looked like it might be quite warm and sunny today but not quite I guess

Dry but cloudy and uninspiring. Rare spells of sunshine. Max of 16.8c so fairly decent

EDIT: nonsense. My sensor broke just after 11am it would appear (from my computer).

Was very cloudy up in Northern Ayrshire where I was today so I assumed (wrongly) that it was similar here (cloudy apron return).

Apparently it was a great day and very warm, reaching over 19c (apparently).

Sensor fixed for tomorrow, should be a nice day judging by forecasts :)
